On God, Politics, and Virtue

16 May 2012

A few interesting items which I have encountered over the past week or so.

Kerry Pearce of The Prosbogion takes an interesting look at the problem of evil and divine benevolence.

The current issue of the Scottish Journal of Theology features an interesting review of Jennifer A. Herdt’s new work, Putting on Virtue: The Legacy of the Splendid Vices, by John Perry, as well as Herdt’s response. A subscription is necessary to read the articles linked to, though abstracts are available for free.

I also encourage you to take a gander at the new web journal Religion & Politics, which seeks to examine the interactions of faith and politics in American culture in a non-scholarly format.
